Who am I and why this newsletter? My name is Ian Nieboer and for nearly two decades I have been captivated by the energy sector. My career has spanned working with operators, advising clients, and developing analytics for some of the industry’s most impactful products. Today, as Head of Energy Transition Research at Enverus Intelligence Research (EIR), an affiliate of Enverus, I am fortunate to engage with diverse perspectives across the energy landscape and witness cutting-edge innovations from our AI, data science, and product teams.

While much of what I do is expressed in EIR’s formal research, there is a wealth of fascinating insights and ideas that do not always make it into reports. onEnergy is where I can share those discoveries and dive into the concepts that go beyond the scope of traditional analysis.
